Ash Shoes

These shoes actually have a lot of elements I like, elements I don't like, and elements I don't think should be together. With all that said on the right chick, these shoes would look so dope. So what lady has the courage and creativity to pull it off?

Nike: Write Your Future

When it comes to Nike and futbol/soccer commercials, there is none better. It's a very star studded commercial too. It is a very very good commercial.

SSENSE Lookbook

The lookbook from SSENSE is pretty sick. You could take that figuratively or literally. It is literally sick is in a little scary. I just can't stop looking at it. A very good job was done here. Click the photo for a jump to the full lookbook.

Diesel Changing Rooms

Diesel has done it again. Diesel has created an interactive changing room meaning that you can take a picture of yourself, log onto facebook, and post your picture, so you can get some advice from you friends. I just love Diesel and how innovative they are. If it's not with their ads, it's with their product. They create controversy as well as excitement. I really believe that they think just about any publicity is good publicity. Diesel just knows how to play the game.

Rocksmith Spring/Summer 2010

I found the preview for Rocksmith's Spring/Summer line at Highsnobiety. That black rebel radio jacket is just dope. There is no other word to describe that. Hopefully, I'll be able to fall into some money and make a purchase. I love the picture below of an outfit that was put together. I think it's the New York in me with the black. I never used to wear black like that. I'm disappointed in myself.

Foot Locker Commercial

Cruising the web, and I came across this gem at Hypebeast. This commercial might be one of the funniest I've seen in a while. What does a sneaker, a sneakerhead, a girl, and the boyfriend being spanked have in common? You will see.

Alpha by Mickey Factz

The song and video are just too dope. I'm not really into this genre of music as in the beat, but I don't deny good songs. I've always liked Mickey Factz. My biggest concern with him is if he can make a good song with original beats or is he just a guy that is good at remixing people songs? I'm still unsure about that answer to that question, but I do know I think he is a talented artist.

Adidas Consortium

I'm all up in the shoe game these days. I'm sorry Nike heads, but you will most likely not see a Nike sneaker ever blogged about on here because I'm just not a Nike fan. These Adidas Consortium sneakers are dope. I love all of the colors, but I really love the red ones. If I can find a job, I would love to add them to my collection. Found article at Hypebeast

Cole Haan

My girlfriend is pretty much the only one that knows how much I love Cole Haan. Well, I just pretty much love all of Cole Haan's bags and the majority of the shoes. I think they look classy yet casual, and you can't go wrong with classy and casual. I really do adore this piece I found at Highsnobiety. It just seems so cool and fun. It just makes me beg for summer to get here as fast as possible.

Windows 7 Phone Series

So Microsoft is crushing the game right now with Windows 7, Zune HD, and now with the Windows 7 Phone Series oh and not to mention Xbox with Xbox live. Evidently, you will be able to play a game on your PC but you have to be somewhere but you still want to play; no worries, you will still be able to play the game right where you left off from your Windows 7 Phone Series device, but when you come home, and you still want to resume play but with your Xbox, you will be able to do that too. You basically can play a game continuously across three platforms. I just think that's amazing. Article found at Engadget

PF Flyer Spring

As you can see my taste in shoes are pretty simple lol. Well, except for the Heyday shoes I recently bought, but they are simple just have this strappy thing and are super high topped. Anyway, I just love these PF Flyers. They are so simple with a splash of edginess. Well at least, I think there is a splash of edginess. Found at Highsnobiety

3:33 shoes

So I was walking through SOHO today, job searching, and I came across this store named Inven.Tory which is where I bought these wonderful shoes for only $30.

I don't care what anybody says, you cannot beat that price. I might need to get the white/cream colored ones too.

Apple vs HTC (Android)?

Apparently, Apple is holding no punches. They are going after HTC(Android) pretty hard. I wonder how badly this will affect Android, but I know this will give the Apple faithful an even bigger head. Oh goodie(Sarcasm). If this is true everyone should learn this on thing, no one likes a biter. Article found at Engadget

Clae Spring 2010

I like what's going on with Clae this spring. They have some hot ish going on. It's reasonably priced too. The ones I plan on getting(if I ever get a job) are only $95. You can't beat that. Article found at Hypebeast

Best Denim Jackets for Spring 2010

I'm a huge fan of denim jackets; I'm actually wearing mine with my down vest over top right now. I pretty much layer that thing with all my jackets. I've layered with my Columbia Parka or with my obey leather jacket or just put a hoodie underneath. This is a list of Denim Jackets from Complex. I'm a little upset that the H&M denim jacket isn't on the list. I think it's underrated and super comfortable.

Supra NS Spring 2010

Damn, it seems like I've become such a little Supra lover ever since I've started this blog lol. I wouldn't say lover, but this is definitely the most I've talked about Supra's ever. The new spring stuff looks extremely sexy. I don't know what to do with myself. I'm still more of a fan of the Blue New Balances in my previous post. I do love the Black Supra's on the right hand side more so than the ones on the left, but I love them both either way. Oh and the black and white/navy and white low tops are way too sexy. Article found at HighSnobiety

New Balance Fall 2010

I'm really not a New Balance fan unless I'm using them to work out or something. I still don't understand why people wear them for regular use but that's a whole other issue. These high top shoes that they have coming out this fall are amazing. The all blue ones are very necessary for me. I must figure out a way to get the blue ones, but if I can't, I will consider getting the white ones even though I have Alexander McQueen Puma's (R.I.P) in the same sort of color. Article is from Hypebeast

African-American Male Style Icons

GQ magazine has an outstanding piece on African-American Male Style Icons. I'm not going to lie; it made me kind of emotional. Black people have a history of being innovative and standoutish in the fashion world, but we seem to have lost that. We used to care about how we looked, but now, we definitely do not. I can't say as a whole we don't, but the majority definitely doesn't. It just makes me so sad but do enjoy the piece.

Come On Tiger!!!

So I'm waisting time before I head to class, and I came behind this gem by Adam Rapoport (Style Editor of GQ Magazine). Man o Man, I didn't realize what horrible stuff Tiger Woods have been wearing. After seeing that analysis, I was embarrassed for him. Simply inexcusable. Find the article at GQ Mag

Windows Mobile 7

It has been a while but this needed to be written about. Microsoft is about to crush the game with this interface. Microsoft has been really on top there game lately with Windows 7 coming out and the zune hd being a wonderful device. I am so glad that they decided to use the zune HD interface for the new Windows Mobile 7 interface instead of creating a zune phone. I don't even like hightech phones, but I will most definitely be trying to get my hands on a Windows Mobile 7 device now. Article from Engadget

Diesel Black Gold S/S 2010

Ok, all the people that know me realize that I love Diesel. I haven't been a fan of the black gold collect though, but this one is pretty dope. Found at Denimblog

Paranormal Activity II

I'm not going to lie; I thought Paranormal Activity was 3rd best horror movie last year behind The Fourth Kind and Drag Me To Hell(my favorite movie of 09 BTW). Grant it, I didn't go see Antichrist which I was extremely pissed about. I was excited when I saw that the next one is due out around Halloween like the Saw franchise, but I became instantly upset when they said that the Saw VI director was doing it. I'm sorry, but I don't care how good people said that the sixth installment of the worst franchise in history was I didn't go see it nor will I be in a good mood watching the next Paranormal Activity because of it. Check out the article HeatVisionBlog

Armani and Reebok

If this is the Armani X Reebok collab, you can tell they are targeting the snowboarders a bit. I am a fan of the black high tops, but I'm not so excited about the bright neon green high tops though. Check out the whole Emporio Armani collection at GQ

Taylor Momsen and Cosmopolitan

Taylor Momsen of Gossip Girl poses for Cosmo in some pretty great outfits. She's only 17, but she has the potential to be a force once she gets older. I just hope her style isn't fake because as of right now it doesn't look like it. Check out the other photo at Denimology

Affliction Sneakers

Revolve asked a simple question on twitter which went something like how do feel about pre-distressed sneakers? I thought it was going to be something horrible when I saw affliction because I'm definitely not a fan, but I like these. Pre-distressed converse style shoes have been around for a bit though; I mean look at John Varvatos converse's. I like the Affliction sneakers, but I don't love them. I might consider buying them because $70 is very reasonable.

P.S. I just noticed the studds. No thanks lol. I see a lot of studds at...

Reebok and Emporio Armani

Reebok and Armani are going to collab which is big in my opinion. My favorite collaboration is Puma and Alexander McQueen. Not going to lie, Adidas and Yohji Yamamoto(Y-3) is definitely not a favorite of mine. Apparently, the line will debut at Milan Fashion week on January 16th. The line will officially drop in select stores around July 2010. Check out the article at HighSnobiety.

Renzo Rosso

Just finished reading the Q&A with Renzo Rosso of Diesel, my favorite brand/line. I really do love Diesel. The Q&A was conducted by Details.

The Denim Leggings

Ok, so I made my rounds this morning checking out my favorite blogs first Denimblog and Denimology, and they both had something in common which was this article posted on The Daily Beast called The Trend from Hell by Rebecca Dana. The article was basically a few paragraphs bashing Denim Leggings a.k.a. Jeggings a.k.a. Treggings(something new I learned today) seen on Heidi Montag below made by 7 for all Mankind, and she looks absolutely amazing in them. I used to not like her, but I think she's amazingly beautiful, and I like her style

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt show their affection for each other after a visit to the eye doctor

I just don't agree with Rebecca Dana. She just sounds like someone bitter because they didn't look good on her, and she had to mention Harem pants which I just don't even want to go there. I've seen girls with them on, and they look fabulous in them. I've even asked girls how they like them because I wanted to get my girlfriend some, and I heard nothing but wonderful things about them. I just don't get it. Check out the article at The Daily Beast

The Goodness

I was surfing the web looking at websites and blogs, and I came across this gem on Details. Neal Pollack wrote about research done by Oxford University scientists on why women shouldn't trying to be losing fat, but should be trying to store fat in and I quote,"their thighs, hips, and ass." I, instantly, thought to myself that this is something black men known from the beginning of time. Yea, I said it; we knew this the whole time and encouraged our black women to keep that plumpness. We revolutionized it to the extent that white women want the plumpness not to mention the underwear with pads in it designated for women lacking in the derriere. There are even athletic shoes designed to work the derriere as my friend Tyler said, "had to be created by a black man." Can we get some credit please? Check out the full article at here.

Spider-Man Franshise: Part III

Well, I think sony is off to a good start with the whole director angle. Evidently, they are approaching the (500) Days of Summer and Darkman director Marc Webb which would be a good idea considering he is talented; I mean (500) Days of Summer was my third favorite movie last year. I'm still a little scared with casting though. I don't care what director you have if you don't have at least a talented or just not a cheezy looking cast. Check out Deadline for the full article by Mike Fleming.

Fly Disk

I got bored, so I decided to make something lol.

Versace Spring 2010 Campaign

Oh my, this was a very dope campaign shot from Versace. I am a huge fan of this. Paolo Anchisi and Georgia May Jagger are in the photograph, and it was take by Mario Testino. I discovered this at Fashionisto

Denim on Denim

I saw this interesting post on denimology.co.uk that links you to a piece on elle.com on how to wear denim with denim for ladies only of course; I mean it is elle. I like this look a lot on girls and guys. I wanted to buy a denim shirt/chambray, but it is just way too trendy right now. I might by one but only wear it seldomly. Who knows? Check out the article at Elle

Adriano Goldschmied

Adriano Goldschmied is straight crushing the game right now. At least for me, they are.

These are on Rachel Bilson. I was sort of a fan of her's in the OC days. The post was on Denimology.co.uk

Supra Skytop II

Ok so just to clarify, I'm not a Supra fan by any means. I do have some levi high tops that look like Supra's which is as far as I've gone to getting a pair. My manager would probably consider firing me for making this statement lol. But these Supra Skytop II's are pretty dope to me.

Especially these

Spider-Man Franchise Part: II

Well apparently, the reboot has already been written which means that the supposed 5th & 6th reported scripts that were to be written together were the reboots for probably the 1st and 2nd movie. Another speculation would be that they were going to can the entire cast and production team regardless with the report that they were going to reboot the franchise on the summer of 2012. They probably sabotaged the production of the 4th film to get an early start on the reboot. I am pretty upset that they want to go in the direction of no names because of the standard the movies set critically and economically. It will either be absolutely amazing or a total bust. Evidently, they want to attract the younger crowd(the twilight crowd), and they want to make us pay extra(3D) for a mediocre-at-best movie. Will I give them my money? Probably because I am a Spider-Man fan. I can't be absolutely certain about how I feel about what's happening until I see who's directing, and who will best casted for the movie. Article that has more information about the new direction http://tinyurl.com/y8pzncf

P.S. The whole Venom movie that they have been talking about makes sense now. I'm like they killed Venom why make a movie discussing him because he had a very non existent role. The reboot with the Venom movie(only rumors) would make sense but doesn't ease the mind.

Spider-Man Franchise

So, Sony decided to scrap the Spider-Man 4 movie and reboot the entire franchise. First of all, I think it is idiotic to annoy Sam Raimi who has done a good job(except for the 3rd movie). They wanted so bad to have a big name in Anne Hathaway and 3D because of Avator, and the script was not what Raimi had in mind. The whole thing was all over the place. I think the reboot will not be as good because they set such a high standard considering how beautiful the first two movies were and the box office success the 3rd movie had. Well, there is a bright side; the last movie was so horrible people might want to see a different take on the franchise. I just don't think it's possible to do better than what Raimi did unless Sony listens to the fans with the whole James Cameron idea, but I still don't think it will be as good as Raimi's take; it might be more visually appealing though. Converse: United Bamboo

Oh my, I need these in my life. These are simply sexy. That's pretty much all I have to say about the matter lol.

Daybreakers

This is a movie review for the movie Daybreakers starring Ethan Hawke(Training Day), Willem Dafoe(Spider-Man, Antichrist, Fantastic Mr. Fox), Sam Neil(Jurassic Park, Event Horizon), and Claudia Karvan.

If you have seen the trailer then you should probably understand that this is yet another vampire movie amongst the countless vampire movies or TV shows in this very vampire trendy period of time. The idea for this movie is that vampires are the norm and humans are becoming an endangered species. A blood corporation headed by Charles Bromley(Sam Neil) starts monopolizing blood because humans are hard to find and the supply of blood that they have is getting slimmer and slimmer. He calls upon Edward Dalton(Ethan Hawke), who is pretty much his chief scientist, to construct a blood substitute, so he can sell the blood substitute at a cheap price and the human blood at a premium price. Edward Dalton has an abundance of trouble of trying to construct this substitute. A car accident with Audrey Bennett(Claudia Karvan), a human, changes his life forever. Realizing that he saved her life and, that he's a scientist, she thinks that he can be trusted then introduces him to Lionel "Elvis" Cormac(Willem Dafoe) who is sort of the leader of a pack of humans that has to hide. What Elvis tells Edward is that they have found a way to become human again. Edward helps the humans find a way to harness this cure and this is where all the fun begins(a figure of speech).

This movie tremendously falls apart with trying to do too much. I loved how the Spierig brothers depicted how life would be if vampires ruled the world from coffee with blood, video mirrors, cars with cameras and sun blocking windows for day time driving, and how Edward Dalton smoked all the time because he couldn't die; not to mention, human blood served in wine bottles. The idea got lost in the midst of ridiculous gore and the fact that it couldn't make up it's mind of what type of movie it wanted to be. Every time they would have a good idea going they would ruin it with trying to scare you or they would ruin it with having a ridiculously gory event happen. At first it was tolerable, it soon became tiresome and annoying. I will give the movie a lot of credit though because with all these vampire movies and TV shows out there, the movie had a pretty original and smart thought. The movie is sort of a good time, but the bad parts of this movie, for me, just could not be ignored.

I give this movie a 47/100.
